ABOUT
Wasted Potential was born in the halls of Scottsburg High, where rhythm guitarist Ryan Gibson and lead guitarist Blake Drury first started talking about forming a band. What began as late-night jam sessions quickly spiraled into something far more. The missing pieces of the band came together one weekend at a party in Bloomington, where everything aligned in ways no one expected. A name whispered through mutual connections led them to Finn Devlin, a Lafayette, IN native whose intensity on the drums seemed to wake the dead.
After just one night of jamming with Finn, lifelong friend of Ryan and Blake, Jameson Hale—who had never even picked up a bass before—decided it was time. It didn’t take long for him to master it, as if the instrument had been waiting for him all along.

Then came Harper Adams. Harper had been friends with Ryan, Blake, and Jameson since high school, and during a casual walk down North Dunn St. on IU’s campus, it hit them. Harper had been the lead singer they needed all along. With that, he stepped up to the mic and Wasted Potential was complete.
Since their formation, Wasted Potential has been gaining momentum fast, winning the Bloomington Battle of the Bands and playing shows across the Midwest, all while building a loyal fanbase. Their highly anticipated debut singles, set to drop later this year, promise to shake up the music scene.
Wasted Potential is more than a band. It’s a force—a collision of fate, best friends, and a raw sound that can’t be ignored. The journey has just begun, and the road ahead is as unpredictable as the band itself.
